Does Changing distributor seal affect timing?

As above, does the timing need doing after or can you just mark it against the head?

If you mark it you should get it pretty near but it's all ways worth getting it checked with a timing light afterwords.

Ah, I was gonna change it when I do the dizzy cap but I'm not sure where has a

Na it'll be fine if u mark it dude just paint a line remove it and then line them back up when u replace it

even if you dont mark them, there will be a line of shit from above the head and a clean part from where its been sat below

its not difficult to check it with a light so its worth doing anyway

i did mine a few weeks ago mate just make sure you mark it up on the front and back, i also marked up the cam cover with a notch i had on the dizzy with a straight edge, got it bang on.

theres a clip that just goes onto the lead for cyl1
