abbott
Mate i get alot of powder coating done for people and never had any think crack. The one thing if you have had the bits you have had done and anythink engine related is to make sure they have not ahot blasted the inner of the rocker cover if so clean it out good and proper other wise your engine will have sand round it which will block oil ways pump etc. clean inlet and fuel rail out to brake cleaner is good to wash out with but make sure its done well Hope this helps
Rob H@RCH Engineering
I have never heard of powder coating cracking, I have had loads of stuff done over the years for my V8s and stuff for the starlet including the wheels and never had any problems.
daniel_g
Should be fine dude. Thing with the wheels was people had them done in places where they weren't doing it properly, in the way they were cooling down iirc. I'm just gonna use some VHT paint to do mine. Got.boost
Thanks alot guys and don't worry all the in sides of all the bits where all masked up when doing it but will get the brake cleaner and a air line out and give them a good clean Thanks
StarletMad
The piece to be coated should be left to soak in a chemical solution (mild acid) for 20 minutes at around 55 degrees so should cleanit pretty good. Powdercoat is extremely durable it should not crack...
