Weyro
Wondering if anyone can tell me how to reset the base idle using the idle screw, is it simply a case of turning the screw all the way back then resetting the ECU?CheersEDIT: Which way do you turn it to turn idle down, cant check as the battery is disconnected Edited December 14, 2012 by Weyro
JayJ
Start the engine and let it warm up to normal temp. Short circuit TE1 and E1 pins from the diagnostic plug and then turn the idle screw counter-clockwise to decrease idle RPMs.
Xpect
to reset the ECU to base settings (albeit also everything else electronical in the car) you can just unplug the ground of the battery for like 5 minutes. After that it will learn whatever small things you did to the engine in like 400-700km of driving. JayJ
Or remove the ECU fuse, so you don't have to set your clock/radio/player again.
Xpect
Would be the better solution, you're right.
Weyro
cool thanks, which one is the ecu fuse?
Weyro
turns out its clockwise to lower lol
JayJ
Haha, was wondering if it was clockwise though. There should be layout inside the fuse cover, fuse should be small 10A or 15A
