Addymk2
Assuming you already have a laptop mate?usb to 9 pin serial port: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0018D01JSSlightly more complex but more cost effective:/>http://www.vmware.com/support/Go on Desktop & End User, select Virtual Player. Download! Pick up a copy of a 32 bit OS and install it to the virtual machine. Essentially it runs like a seperate computer inside your system. You will understand when you get it up and running!Let me no what you think, or if you go that route and then have any dramas.
Addymk2
P.S, considering the price of the adapter you could probably pick up a 32bit OS on eBay for £20-30. It's not gonna cost much!

DavidAshton
Look for something along the lines of a DELL D5** or D6** series, both have serial ports!I normally hang onto a few of these when we get them in for scrap just for the serial ports. Check your local AD-Mag for them you can normally get them for pennies. If you need one more urgently go eBay:http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f2025da3e Edited December 17, 2012 by DavidAshton
