whitestar
What is this sensor on intake pipe and is it needed when relocating air filter? If not, what do I do with the vac lines and the connector after relocation?
jellybaby
For air con mate I got rid of mine when relocated mine and just blocked off the vac pipe with a screw just before the inlet
whitestar
Are you sure? Blocking sounds a bit harsh. I guess I'll just remove the pipe and let the thing hang free or cable tie it somewhere. Does anyone know what it's for exactly?
Flaminsam
Its for your carbon canister. Your not allowed to vent gas from your fuel tank to atmosphere, so the carbon canister catches any hydrocarbons from your tank.
whitestar
Ok thanks! Good to know! I'll just leave it hanging then. Edited January 14, 2013 by whitestar
