Snazzyblowfish Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I've been offered some D2 coilovers for a great price, just wondered if anyone could give me a heads up on how they perform, I've heard they're exceedingly stiff, the term "spine buster" was used. Is that about right? Quote
ep-beast Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 supose to be very hard one of the hardest u can get if you want a could stiff drive there good Quote
jakeep82 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 i just got some on mine , ive never drove a car with coilovers on so cant really compare them to any others , but i have been in cars with coilovers. They aint too bad there cheap and yeah there a bit stiff but end of the day i dont have my car for nice comforts lol Quote
_shaun_ Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 had a set on my old crx to be honest it felt like it was just steel bars welded on rather than springs lol Quote

jordan walker Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Ive got some on my glanza and it handles a ton better and i dont think there that stiff neither i had tanabe sustec pro's on my last v and they where far stiffer and at the end of the day they are coilovers there going to be stiff Quote
Taggy Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) I have driven with D2's for about 4 years now and i can tell you even on the softest settings they are rock hard, so hard in fact if you sit on the corner of the car and jump on it it moves about 1mm. They are way too hard for the road really, amazing on the track but do your back no good as a daily lol, i dont really care though as its my play car so doesnt bother me. Does handle like its on rails though Edited February 4, 2013 by Taggy Quote
jakeep82 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 How cheap have you been offered them if you dont mind me asking mate ? they do come up cheap i picked up my set for £280 if there cheap enough get them , i got them in my 270bhp daily Quote
Snazzyblowfish Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 £200 second hand, my EP82 is a toy, but i use it more than the truck because the truck is worth more and i want to keep the miles low, but im sure ill live Quote
jakeep82 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 go for it mate that is cheap end of the day if you get them and dont like them sell them on here buy another set simples Quote
starletburkie Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 have them in my glanza! very very solid! have to be very allert driving with them as a slight bump at speed will send you out of your seat, not good for the b roads Quote
loz180691 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 There great I brought some a week after buying my car and there bang on you can soften etc Quote
RicoW Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 you can always adjust the hardness by lowering the tyre pressure 200 quid isn't too bad tho. worth a try for sure. Quote
jakeep82 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 did you get these in the end ? i need coilovers asap Quote
