td04 turbo Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 How much would labour cost on removal of 2 wheel bearings & pressing 2 new ones in with hubs all ready removed Quote
daniel_g Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Really depends where you take it, main dealer, backstreet etc. For example, i work at a main dealer so labour rate is quite high at 80 ish quid / hour. It would take only a few mins to do that but youd probably be charged half hour labour... Best phone round your local garages and see who will do it the cheapest, aslong as theyve got a press and dont use hammers to change bearings lol. Quote
td04 turbo Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 Yea a lot of them didnt have a press so I took it to a bk street garage who did 60 it cost thought that was a bit steep prob just me lol Quote
scatter Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I need new bearings on front, considering doIng it myself but reading this thread Am I right in thinking that's not possible because of pressing? Quote
morgey Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Can be done if by with mallets and sockets etc but save yourself a load of hassle and remove what u can and take it to a local garage. Just make sure they can fit it in or you'll be without a car lol Quote
