Lew91 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I spent £560 rebuilding my box on Monday, that was a new 5th gear, all synchro's/bearings and seals.Bloody expensive but at least it's a strong box now. Quote

Glanza AuA Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Syncro is around 30, be carefully not to bust 5 gear hub when removingJust done mine @ yaristurbo is it really hard as there are not many mechanics to work on gearbox where im from so planing on doing it myself have done a lot by my self already change clutch, headgasket, CV joint, shocks,timing belt, i have quite a knowledge but never open a gearbox Quote

mini1.3 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) have you replaced any worn bushes on the gearlinkage or checked for play mine cruntched and grinded years ago used the bearing upgrade and mines sweet might be worth a try also if you have done bearing upgrade might be worth checking there in flat. just some small cheap/free things to look.for Edited March 12, 2013 by mini1.3 Quote
