I was just wondering if anyone knew why they did this at all as looking at mine it is a sealed unit?

Also is there anyway to restore them to their previous glory?

the badge will pop out.. get a small screw driver in behind it and prise it off... all you do then is remove the paint from the glanza bit with a small flat head screw driver ot what ever fits... paint the glanza bit what ever colour you want.. let dry, then spray the whole backing black... some sealant to pop the badge back into the holder then

first thing to do is remove the grill from bumper to get to screw that holds badge in place...

NOTE; remove old adhesive/glue from badge and backing

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

next you can scrape away the old silver paint using a small flathead screw driver

now choose a colour for your glanza logo.. (i used blue).. once your have put the colour you choosed on and your happy thats it all covered and paint is dry, spray the whole back of the badge black.. use a few coats..this will bring up the colour you used and cover the rest of the back of the badge.. once this is done and paint is dry its time to secure the badge back onto the backing.. epoxy resin or tiger seal will do.. once glue is set, remount it to the car and put back on grill..
