akyakapotter
Ok so here goes guys text from the misses I need to talk to you about sky. Our ONLY option is to do a early calculation which might cost £100 I've said we havnt got that money but they said only way is to leave it at the old property or install it at your mums i said i don't want other people using our phone line and broadband and we can't set it up at your mums because they have their own line they said no other choice so i don't know what to do. So basically what they are saying ither we pay to cancle it which won't happen for 2weeks. which in the mean time means some one can run a bill up or leave it there and I have to foot the bill any way. I am discusted with sky and really don't no what to do now any one any good with this kind of crap. I'm just going to end up loosing my temper with them. Thanks nick

TurboTobz
Our sky internet is a bit shit tbh looking to switch to Virgin tooDon't they're not what you may think. Sky are much better from expirience, I'm stuck with virgin for a long time yet, they've charged us extortionate prices for phone bills etc and the Internet regularly goes down sometimes for long periods and it's still pretty slow. We've had them out they've found faults then come out and not been able to trace or find any. Useless honest to god.
Amjad
You reckon? My home house has Sky package and it's very slow for internet. My uni house has Virgin Media 60mb and it's really quick, only downside is the rubbish range from the Superhub but I hear you can get boosters
akyakapotter
Sky tv is good broadband is shit customer service is the worst I've even had shocking
A L 3 X
I work for virgin, tobz I can't comment on the bill side but there is obviously a signal or modem issue causing your Internet to drop off, mine is fine at home and perfectly fast, yet I have customers everyday who moan and others who are really happy lol Amjad yeh you can get powerline adaptors to boost the range lol
TurboTobz
Unless your a heavy gamer fibre optics aren't massive IMO, last I saw though bt's fibre optics were major fast and a lot cheaper, may be wrong now though. We've not had massive joys with VM. Using the phone 2-4 times for under 5 mins outside of our weekend calls has given us bills of around £80 or more at times we just don't touch the phone any more even on weekends. har-vey
you dont have to have a sky phone line with a sky tv deal. they try and make you have it but its not needed so you should be able to drop the broadband off of your package and just transfer the tv package to your new address. Arnold
you dont have to have a sky phone line with a sky tv deal. they try and make you have it but its not needed so you should be able to drop the broadband off of your package and just transfer the tv package to your new address. You do however if it is part of the contract you signed up for. After 12 months or the agreed term, then you can drop whatever you want. From experience with Sky TV, it's best to cancel the whole lot then go back a few months later. Got my monthly bill down from £58 to just £18! kavan-k
My monthly bill was 58 quid and we got it down to 20 because i kept threatning to go to bt, they overcharged me on 2 occasions which i had to claim back, bunch of arseholes! I want virgin or bt, but have to wait till end of may!
