windsceen washer question

Hi

My Starlet SR appears to have the washer function the wrong way around ie pull wiper arm toward you does nothing unless rear wiper is on then it actives washer , and rotate arm end and it actives bonnet washer, is this correct? if not how do i correct the wiring for it.

I can't remember if the starlets have a 2 wire pump or not. If it is. Just swap the wires round on the pump

No thats backwards lol

They might have two pumps, if so switch the plugs over and that should sort it.

ok thanks will check, where is ws pump? i cant see one, hope it not hidden away in wheel arch :-)

Thats exactly where it is dude, might be able to take your arch liner out to get to it?

Its 2 hoses on one pump, and yes you'll have to pull the inner arch trim out a bit to get at it.

^^^ if thats the case swap the 2 pipes over. Problem solved

Its probably cleaner and easier to just drop your bumper corner down. less swearing too.

Tbh it only just clicked a minute ago when it was mentioned two pipes on one pump. I was in the same mind set over thinking things then was just like ADUH.... Swap pipes lol

I've changed loads of pumps on loads of cars. Had to do this easy fix loads. A lot easyer when your looking at it

Haha well uv no excuse then, I've never even looked at the washer bottle on my starlet. Its one of very few things that hasn't gone wrong haha

I went to unplug the one on my old loom on the GT and it just completely fell apart, wouldn't unplug and didnt react well to a reasonable amount of force lol.

Also, by the looks of it the new loom i have must have had the washer bottle relocated to the boot because there is no plug where there should be haha.

Hate starlets.
