boost/ vacuum pipes - helppp needed!

Recommended Posts

hi guys,

need some help please,

trying plumbing all my vacuum hoses and because things are far from standard im not entirely sure how to plumb them all in and whats the correct way, being my first turbo car and all.

ive got a dump valve and external wastegate.

ive removed all the A/C idle controls etc so that removes a lot of vacuum hoses.

now im running emanage ultimate and blitz boost controller etc. am i right in saying i can just remove the boost solenoid that limits the boost in 1st and second gear (which has been by passed before to remove anyway)as this will be unnecessary?

also theres another boost sensor in the bay at the front on the left hand side. is this necessary too and how do i plumb it

in?

also best place to T off for the boost guage and controller?

any help would be really appreciated.

cheers guys

sam

Boost solenoid can be removed.

The boost sensor sounds like your map sensor it takes a vac source from inlet.

T off from inlet for boost gauge, controller and dump valve.

Take the wastegate source from the nipple on the turbo.

Also Inlet manifold has a cheeky small vac source for the fpr if you haven't already done that.

hi mate

found the one on back of inlet for fpr cheers

ive got two nipples on the wastegate but none on the turbo. its a greddy td05 14b.

isnt the map sensor the unit that sits on the firewall? top left as looking at the bay. if so thats not the one im talking about.

ill remove boost solenoid/restrictor then :)

also if i T off all three of one boost line will this cause an issue?

thanks for your help!

Wastegate will have one from EBC and one from turbo, you'll need to source wastegate vac from next nearest nipple to turbo then.

Can you get a pic of the boost sensor?

Try and t them from seperate sources if possible.
