smb2011
I have a set of spax 40mm lowering springs and its really high at the back im not sure if the closer spring is at the top or bottom of the strut ? the writing is upside down with the closer coil at the top is this correct on the spax spring
morgey
How longs it been on there, they need time to settle. Pretty sure my apex springs were upside down also
Fozzie
I have a feeling that the tighter wound end should be at the bottom mate, although I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong? If they're brand new, they'll also settle a bit lower after the first week or two
smb2011
well today I put them on the fronts were two fingers and so were the back now the front is one finger and the back is still two ? the closer spring is at the top but the writing is upside down ? would it mater on height if they were the wrong way
Fozzie
^ Haha maybe I got it wrong then ;) I'm pretty sure my GMax springs were tighter end down though :/
Fozzie
I wouldn't have thought it'd affect the height whether they were the correct way up or not, but I suspect the drive wouldn't be great.I think they're progressively wound so that the harder you corner, the firmer they get. If they were upside down then I guess they might ride a bit crashy? Don't quote me on it though, just spitballing
mikey4410
i dont think it will matter either way up either,
5T4R7ET N/A
the closer coils go at the top.
