Gearbox issues, or something!

Recommended Posts

Its an easy job to do mate, ive just done this the other week. Cables from a N/a can be used on a Glanza/GT by the way.

Four bolts hold the shifter housing on in the car. Theres two 10mms on the bulkhead where the cables go through on the inside and another two in the bay at the same place. Then just undo the cables from the box, pull the clips up the way.

And pull and feed the cables from inside the car.

I didnt have a carpet in mine so it may be a little more difficult with it in.

Do u no if part no 33261d from the drawing is a bushing I was told it could be that, because mine doesn't seem to hav one which is givin some play.

Sorry mate I couldn't tell you.

Did your shifter selection feel sloppy also

No it felt the same, just 'soft' when engaging as there was no resistance.

I hope you didn't pay anything like that ^^ I got replacement cables from a N/a for 20 quid inc delivery.

No mate, £35 for a replacement shifter with the cables. I've got a short shifter on mine so mechanic swapped the cables over. Happily report that she now runs as normal, and still mis firing but that's another issue.
