Jamie-GlanzaV
what does this sound like, could it be the seals on the turbo, have only nursed her 2 mile a day the past week and there has been no smoke its only when i give her some and there is plenty of smoke lol and loads in idle after aswell, slight oil smell of the smoke, put a decat in her last week and a new lambda too, could i have upset something? Any help would be great thanksJamie
TurboTobz
Oil burning is usually more blueish. Whites usually a sign of water so headgasket is usually the issue. If your losing power though and it's smoking I'd check compression and check the turbo over with your fingers to see if you can spin it by hand and if it has much play up and down and in and out. Jamie-GlanzaV
Cheers hopefully not the head gasket lol
Stu
If the white smoke has a pungent smell it's likely to be the turbo seals - its fairly common with ct9's. Monitor the water and oil if you think its a head gasket - should see the tell tale signs. You could always get a PK test done to confirm
Liam_D
Yeah as said, white smoke is usually water related so check headgaskets and make sure it's not just condensation. Turbo is normal blue smoke.
