daniel_g Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 You can actually get away with putting a bit of black tape over the KPH and writing MPH in tipex. MOT tester couldnt fail it for that.

daniel_g Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Why not mate ? I've been doing training for to be an MOT tester and the actual test isnt as strict as you would think and its only annoying because most testers are stubborn cunts and dont know the book properly lol. Most imports ive seen have a printed M covering up the K on the clocks. Same idea really. Up to you though man.
bigal Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 mite give it a go see how i get on cheers mate ye dont no wot els id need for the test i tink a fog lite but dont no what els is needed
daniel_g Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Is your car a fresh import or something ?As i say am not an MOT tester, just learning the ins and outs for now.Rear fog rules are pretty straight forward for MOT.It needs to be at the OSR of the car, a certain distance away from brake lights, like 50 cm or something. It has to be brighter than the brake lights. It has to have a switch that has a tell tale sign that the fog is on, ie an illuminating switch would do.It can only come on when the dipped beam is on.Think thats pretty much it mate, get one of those kits off ebay, import rear fog kit, under 20 quid.
bigal Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 I've just brought it over from ireland wit me so il need to change it over soon so just wanna no what i need to get it true the test cheers for your help tho mate
Bluebear Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I don't even think my dials have the unit on them, just the numbers. If it still says kmh, my tester wasn't bothered by them
