b16a2
Report the key as stolen lol
StuDoc 72
Go to the cop shop and ask for it back? Failing that you can do a few things. 1. Hammer a multipoint socket on the locking nut. 2. Drill it out then use an easy out 3. Find 1 similar to your pals and use it to get them off then replace them.

Would this work on a set of McGard locking wheel nuts http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_196491_langId_-1_categoryId_255216

loguey
Best thing you could do is buy that tool and offer it up if its gonna work then sorted if not take it back and get your money back. Those tools are the best if they fit lol.

Danza V
I did it by bashing a smaller multiplex socket over the top, the voila!
sammasson
I did not want to make much damage to the locking wheel nuts so i can use them again if the police find the key And that tool only made a little mark but not much
daniel_g
Thats why i dont see the point in locking wheel nuts, you could just buy the tool if you were a criminal and set about stealing wheels lol.
Fozzie
Tbh how often are people's wheels stolen anyway? I don't know anyone who's had theirs nicked... I don't doubt it has happened but it seems pretty rare? Edited July 6, 2013 by uberphil88
daniel_g
Thats the thing, i always get jobs at work where folk who own a shitey motability citroen c4 picasso loose their locking wheel nut key. Who the fuck is gonna be going around stealing wheels off one of them shiters anyway haha. Fair enough if youve got a decent car with a fair few hundred quid worth of wheels you are going to be wanting to keep them as safe as you can, and locking wheel nuts are a deterrent i suppose. Fozzie
I reckon those internal drive wheel nuts are probably a better bet; easy enough to get hold of a replacement spline drive but enough of a deterrent to stop the opportunist pikey
loguey
I think stealing wheels was a thing of the 80s and 90s. And tbh i dont think the police will even bother looking for your locking wheel nut key.
