bexiie Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 Recently bought a mines ecu, plugged it into the car and it struggled to idle smoothly but didnt stall/cut out and threw up the engine management light with error code 51 (idle fault) any ideas why/how to resolve this?Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Amjad Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Unplug it, plug it back in and leave it to idle for 20 mins or so. If the idle isn't normal give it a few revs and let it run until it smooths out. Then take it for a gentle drive, first off boost, then gradually building boost up through the gears after about 5-10 minutes. Then take it to full boost and it should run well. Takes about 100 miles to fully adjust to your mods and driving style Quote Link to post Share on other sites
