andy91145 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 May seem like a stupid question but new to turbos. The car came with a Blitz BOV do you just take it off and connect the pipes as it it wasn't there? Don't you get chatter from compressor surge? I was always under the impression that was bad for the turbo, much appreciated if someone can enlighten a novice willing to learn Quote
TurboTobz Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Remove it or the vacuum pipe or adjust it so the springs tougher. plenty of people run like this problem free, I for one don't have a bov connected! You can get it by slowly releasing your throttle too. Quote
Weyro Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Just remove the blow of valve, and block up any pipes or holes that are left over. Failing that, you can shout "choo choo choo" out of the window when you change gear. Quote
mikey4410 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 As above, the choo choo method is extremely valid and is a common chatter noise. An unrestrictive short as possible air filter and piping ,and no dump valve. Quote
TurboTobz Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 How long before some one mentions the mythological waste gate chatter? Quote
webby Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 remove the blow of valve don't like them myself, prefer the chatter and flutter sounds Quote
