DanTheGlanzaMan
Hey guys I've recently bought a ct9 manifold from WilkieGt who's on this forumBit of a silly question but when I replace the manifold will anything else need to be done like settings or anything? Or is it just simply unbolt and then bolt back on along with new manifold gasket? Ive never replaced a manifold in my life so I don't really want to screw up lol
Socks
Nothing should need adjusting no... Just make sure you prime the turbocharger's oil system and be careful with the oil feed/return as these can crack if abused... If they crack and dump your oil, good bye engine! Sefton-EP91
nice and easy job, just replace gasket aswell, just use LOTS of wd40 and take your time. if you drain coolant then you will need to replenish this aswell and bleed coolant system afterwards. also what socks said.. be carefull with the feed/return pipe. i had this problem, was too careless unbolting it and it snapped. daniel_g
Do it when its slightly warm. Plenty of wd40 or whatever, use a bar with a single hex 14mm to crack the nuts. Dont over tighten the mani nuts either or you might crack the head.Unsure of torque settings, but dont go mental
daniel_g
Ohh and loop the water ports on the thermo housing with one of the hoses so you dont loose the coolant.
