Used car scrappage/buyers

Does anyone know the best places to sell your car to these scrappage companies like we buy any car? I was quoted £175 for my car but wondering if anyone knows companies which offer good rates.

They never offer good money £175 will probs be the best you get I was offered £50 by we but any car for a w reg golf gti turbo that was mint

Ay mate I know, I was offered £75 for my old Corsa sport which was in very good nick.

This is a BMW 316i compact I'm trying to get rid of as I've just bought another daily so this eneds to go. I've got a rare optional extra arm rest as well which I'm told I can get about £80 for, so if I sell that then I can get back virtually what I paid for the car.

Just wondering if anyone recommends anything than the usual places you see advertised on telly.

Bang it on gumtree, someone will come and get it.

I used to buy and sell cars for a hobby basically and anything under 500 quid was taken the next day 9/10 times.

That company you mentioned are a shower of robbing bastards.

Ay mate I was thinking that like, but it's got so many problems it's not worth it.

Got no windows as both the regulators are fucked, although I do have 2 for it. The ABS light is on, missing the drivers side wing mirror glass. Just don't think anyone would be interested tbh.

People wouldn't care about the problems if they are making a track car or banger racing shed or even as a parts donor stick it on gumtree and eBay for a little higher than you want so when you get knocked down they think they are getting a bargain and you get that magic number

You may be surprised tbh! Not sure what its like there but loads of folk around here are snapping up cheap bmw to use as drift toys, but that could be because theres a dedicated drift track here.
