PaulStarletSR
when set to 4e with 5efhe cams, will this make the revs go up and down at all?
AdamB
Should be set to 5E mate, that's the way I figure it anyway. The cam specs are different, therefore should be set to the 5E mark. Saying that when changing cams they should be dialed in with a DTI if you want it accurately done.
PaulStarletSR
so the fact I've got them set to 4E be makin it fluctuate in revs? cause STILL when i cover the throttle body it doesnt cut out and ALL the vac pipes have been triple checked and are fine :-(
AdamB
It will most likely run slightly lumpy, possibly the rev's will alternate ever so slightly. Edited August 17, 2013 by AdamB
PaulStarletSR
yip, thats what its doin. il try flickin it to 5e n see if it improves any later

AdamB
Yeah there's a wax stat on the TB which allows air to bypass to the ICV I believe. PaulStarletSR
not sure of this but i cleaned all the crap out the icv n there was no change
AdamB
It's not the ICV, theres a wax stat in the TB, hence why there is water pipes going to it.
turbo Grant
It is an idle control valve in the tb. That one on the end of the manifold people go on about does f all from experience.

turbo Grant
I wouldn't have thought it would cause the idle to fluctuate. Do you have the filter/ damper in the map sensor pipe? And when the wax stat in the tb goes that usually give you a high and annoying idle. You got the temp sensor sorted? You could just be getting a bit of a lean missfire
PaulStarletSR
well its not been startd up since the sensor was put in so wel find out today/2moz
