jellybaby
hello all I will soon to be running a oil cooler kit with a built in thermostat etc the normal amount for these engines is about 4-4.5 liters I think ???? should I add a bit more due to the fact if the oil is cooler then the stat what ever is left in the cooler is basicily in the cooler pipes ???? then would effect the oil level etc I just don't want to spin a shell etc with losing oil
StarletSr?
You should add more yes but i thought theses engines only take about 3 liters anyways?
jayc-glanza17
yes u do..and 2.8 to 3 litres is maximum oil..so add whatever in millilitres you cooler takes.. personally, fill to cooler to brim, connect oil lines and fill as you normally would do.

jayc-glanza17
no mate..fill cooler up first with oil, connect oil lines, then fill up to dipstick level..its all dependant on what capacity your cooler can take.
