Will a boot type cap fit on what was a clip type dizzy anyone? I may have just purchased the wrong HT leads! Whoops.

Do you have a MK1 ?

You could try fitting a MK2/3 dizzy cap, might work lol.

I think I need a mk1 cap on a mk2 distributor.

The cap needs to match the leads.

Yea I have boot style leads, but clip style dizzy.

So are the caps interchangeable as it would be cheaper to change a cap than buy new leads (again)

mk2 cap wil fit mk1 distributor

i am running the other way around , boot type leads and cap on mark 2/3 distributor
