Hi there I've got a Glanza v got a stainless exhaust mani and decat on a ct9 turbo with hybrid internals and lots more mods what's the best boost pressure i can set it to as i don't want to melt anything.

Thanks Ben

Make sure you have a decent boost gauge, with winter coming in drop the boost a little to say 0.8 grade 7 spark plugs are a good choice to..

What fuelling? It depends on sooo much more than just the turbo set up bud.

Agree with this man , what u have to back the turbo up with depend of boost levels to run

I've got an expensive boost gauage got a upgraded fuel pump only use super unleaded fuel hks actuator running at 0.7 bar atm king leads what you mean by .7 spark plugs ? Thanks people !

Because what's happening aswell my stainless manifold cracked couldn't find another and didn't have the money got a cast iron Mani and at a certain rev and speed when I have my foot down it just does a massive jult sends me forward in the car for a split second then drives off like normal but with the engine management light on is this the fuel cut off and turbo stalling because there isn't enough flow to the turbo? I'm getting another stainless Mani on and decat next weekend should fix it ?

Its fuel cut because your boost is creeping over .9 or .85 whatever it is and the standard ecu cant fuel it. So rather than fuel it wrong it cuts fuel to avoid any damage.

It's quiet common to get spikes and go over the cars 'safe' boost parameter then the car cuts out for a second and a safety precaution, usually throwing up the eml light for a short period

So even getting the Mani and decat it might still be cutting off ? Because surely I'll be able to raise the boost to about 1 bar ? How can o stop it from doing this ? Thanks for help by the way really appreciate it buddy :-)

Turn the boost down slightly, maybe worth doing a diagnostics check on that eml also. You can't exceed fuel cut boost level as past this you'll hit fuel cut and your engine won't recognise the boost intake and will not be able to calculate fuel requirement. Unless your a fan of melting pistons lol it's not a good idea without the correct fuelling modifications.

My eml used to stay on when i hit boost cut. Some do some dont depends how hard you hit it i guess.

You will be hitting it because of rhe cold weather thats probs why u didnt hit it earlier in the year now the air is more dense it can make boost faster.

You can either restrict your airfilter or you can port the wastegate on the turbo if u still want to get the most out of your set up. If your not fussed then jus turn the boost down a little over the winter.

Thanks for the advice mate :-) how do you port the wastegate what would that do to the turbo ? And I've got a relocated air filt sits on the front directly onto the turbo intake thanks :-)
