Cheznutter Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 hey thank you for looking , I have recently brought and fitted a new zisco ram horn manifold (externally gated) hybrid turbo new water lines extrrnal waste gate ive given ot a service ive fitted a two silicone pipes from the wastegate one to the inlet manifold and one to the turbo I guess I still need a dump valve ? the silicone pipe from the top of the wastegate goes to the inlet mani and the bottom one goes to the turbo this right ? if I do still need a dump valve how does the piping work do I leave or blank any off ? or get splitters as I know the inlet mani needs to be plumed into the dump valve? any help would be great thanks in advance . daniel_g Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 When using an EWG with no EBC you connect a vacuum line from the turbo to the EWG, leave the other port (on top of the wastegate) to atmosphere. Then the spring inside the EWG controls the boost. And just leave your DV line connected to the inlet as it was before. Hope that makes sense lol. Quote
RobSR Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) One from the side port on the wastegate to a vacuum source so either the turbo or Inlet manifold. From the turbo is better. Leave the top port open if your not using a boost controller.Put the vac from the dump valve to a vacuum source also like the inlet.Ah dan beat me too it! Edited October 14, 2013 by RobSR Quote

TurboTobz Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 If your using an ebc there'll usually be a switch on the back to change from actuator to waste gate Quote
RobSR Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Either positioned close to the throttle body or turbo outlet is the best place for a DV. Or just don't run one. Quote
Cheznutter Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 so just leave the top silicone pipe vented to atmosphere ? Quote
daniel_g Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Just leave the top port open like that ^ the fur tree fitting on the silver part Quote
Cheznutter Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 sweet thanks guys yay she'll be back on the road by tomorrow then hopfully Quote
RobSR Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 No worries. Just make sure you have that vacuum on before you give it any ted otherwise you'll have unlimited boost Quote
Cheznutter Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 some help guys again should I blank off the inlet mani vaccum ?!?!?! Quote
daniel_g Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 If you have nothing for it then yeah put a bit of vac pipe over the nipple on the inlet, and put a bolt through that with a jubilee to hold it air tight. Quote
