Ollieh17
I have a TOMS front bumper and want to get the fogs mounted in it. There are no brackets etc in the bumper. I have spoken to a few people about making brackets up for the fogs but have no idea where to start? I have 96 spec fogs atm, but have been offered 98 spec ones with bumper inserts. Will these bumper inserts work?
TrisK
Burny had/has fogs in his. You just need to look at the hole spacing, and deciede if they are 96 or
Ollieh17
they look like 98s to me..
TrisK
I would also say those are 98s. Although it all depends when the aftermarket company started marking the bumper, and if they revised it for the change in fogs I know TOMs did on the EP82. Not sure about the
Ollieh17
ive seen both 96 and 98 fogs in the toms bumper. The 96 spec ones had special brackets made up to fit...Bought the 98 spec fogs and gonna see what i can do.
Ollieh17
Still stuck with this... my bumper has no holes for mounting or anything. Need to see a pic of a bracket made up or how others have mounted them.
Dan Barnes
Drill the holes in mate
Ollieh17
there is nothing to drill holes into, i'l have to photograph the back of the bumper to show
Ollieh17
bump, got the urge for fogs again
SevyjackSR
Can't you just whole saw the size to cut them out ? From the front of the bumper
Ollieh17
Toms bumper has cut outs for fogs but no where to secure them too
Ollieh17
any one had any luck with this, have seen a few TOMS with fogs in them
TrisK
if you get a photo of why you cant mount them, then maybe we could help better
Ollieh17
http://www.id-workz.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=399 can see the design here, the bumper has cut outs for the fogs that go back into the bumper and extrude from the back in a cone shape. I've had a fiddle before with lining up some sort of DIY bracket but haven't 100% find something that will work
LukeH
Can you not mount them to the chassis instead of the bumper?
Ollieh17
i haven't actually thought of that. Going in a body shop soon so may just leave it to them
