TurboTobz Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Not entirely sure but that's just a hole so could possibly be water underneath as that's the underside of the car, but I could be completely wrong Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 any reply is a good one i think it may be the underside of the car and the grommet is to keep it watertight dont think water under there will do it any damage ill check in a few days and see if it dries might not be 100% dry due to condesation but ill keep an eye on it Quote
TurboTobz Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Yeah I'm sure under them are like the edges of the fuel tank sometimes you can see parts of the rear beam, just as you say to keep it water tight, I wouldn't worry too much Quote
fremyjay Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I think fuel tank should be under there, im they are just to let water out of the car if you flood it. i.e drive it into a river like my brother did, as there are some in the footwells and wheel well too. Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 good shout well in that case im not overly worried, could do with the part number though Quote
WallaceGlanza Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Wallace is under that grommet! Nut uh. Quote
TurboTobz Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Yeah, I thought I recalled that leading down to the edges of the fuel tank as I said above, I really wouldn't worry! Nut uh.LOL Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Nah i wont worry man cheers ! Quote
AdamB Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 It's basically a second skin to the shell, I had water in the front footwells in this second skin. I believe it's just used as a draining thing, if it was me I would personally drill small holes through them so that the water has somewhere to go as I noticed that water tends to sit there for quite a while. Drill a hole then find a grommet to fit back over them Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Tge water isnt on the inside of the car its underneath so must be the outside mate, you got the part number for the grommets ? Quote
maddox710 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Top of the fuel tank all you'll see is. Metal lol, its is open though just the tank sits close to the hole Quote
AdamB Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Tge water isnt on the inside of the car its underneath so must be the outside mate, you got the part number for the grommets ? Ah those grommets go directly to the top of the fuel tank, there are others which go to a second skin. I think the part number are these mate: Rear seat back stop button grommet - 72646‑10020‑B1 Quote
