I would do it yourself fella, there's loads of step by step videos on YouTube.

All you need to do is buy the rebuild kit and will take a an hour to do

Lol not a chance mate, certainly wouldn't trust it being unbalanced.

Owens will be your best bet, the guys down there are sound and their prices are very reasonable.

As much as i hate to turn down work :(

Owen Developments for sure mate, i've seen there work and every other turbo companies and Owen's stuff is mega impressive :)

Do you need it to be a roller ball bearing turbo? As i could possibly switch it too normal journal bearing.

i wouldnt touch a turbo, i would tackle everything else bar gearbox's and turbo's, its something thats a costly job to replace if it fucks up.

not bothered liam, aslong as it works and dont chuck out oil. would it be easy enuf to swap it? it spins ok, but theres oil in the exhaust housing, also been using it as a dummy to build my manifold and its been lying around for a while.

the inlet housing has also been messed with, someone has tryed smoothing the the intake (filter end) of the turbo, is there any chance of sorting this also?

il try and get a pic of the turbo

As fare as I'm aware you need a new core. Owen developments sorted me out a new core for my 35, see where your coming from about not wanting to pay the price for one. Mine was just over the 1k mark :/

HOLY FUCK!!!!! il run td04 if thats gonna be the price, lol. surely i can get mine rebuilt for cheaper than that :unknw:

I could potentialy make it a non roller ball bearing for you. But it would all depend on what parts the turbos made up of, and whats available. Would still imagine it to cost a fair bit though (£500ish)

Will be free to check it over for you though so if you need me to take a look and price it up let me know.
