on your hunt for an ep

ep82 gt turbo

kuki (earl model ep 90-94) the lightest with the 1.3 4efte turbo

zenki (later model ep 82 94-95) has funky quad lights and slightly heavier but still bliesteringly quick for a 1.3

book stats clock them 0-60 in 6.9 seconds for the earlier model

with the more rounded ep91 went from 96-99 with a facelift inbetween, heavier as expected with an evolution but with a more rigid shell

book stats for the glanza v 0-60 8.2

both share essentialy the same engine and all drivetrain, suspension, engine, ancilarys etc are interchangable

once you shove abit of boost behind the ct9 you should be able to keep up with jap spec scoobys and evos,

change the turbo and anything on the road is game.

if i were you i would aim for an ep that has had most standard mods (filter, exhuast ect) then build upon that,

if you could wait inporting one would be better but regardless they are reliable and you shouldent have many issues with reliablily

As for the quotes, Ive asked for a requote, I can use my policy that has 9 yrs NCB on it and swap my 1 yr NCB to my missus car ( citreon xsara HDI!!broom broom lads)

cheers for that info enzo,not having a turbo before i dont get all this ep 82 thing, but ill learn, 1 1/2 years its took to make that camper what it is, I bought it for 3000 as a shed, I have loads of pics from the build, which was in 3 stages because of the cost,I have spent many a night outside plumbing iun sink and drains and fitting cupboards, if any of you are interested in campers/beetles :

I was looking for a beetle to replace the van, but I want something that has a turbo now I think, if you wanna Ill post up loads of pics of the build, theres even a subaru powered beetle and bay window for sale at the minute I believe.
