The Toffinator Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Put a straight edge on it dude, give it a good clean. As long as its flat it will be fine Quote
H_D Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I personally would not recommend doing this Quote
Jamie1st Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I rebuilt my engine and did this, if you're replacing the gasket because it has blown though then I'd say it needs machining to prevent it happening again. Quote
Mad Mike EP82 Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 So what your saying if headgasket goes it's engine rebuild . Quote

Mad Mike EP82 Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 I think he means get the head skimmed jut to be on the safe side I'm not on about the head . I'm asking about the Block Quote
maddox710 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Alot of people will tell you that mls head gaskets will need a perfectly clean head and block surface to seal properly. Quote
AdamB Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Put a straight edge on the block deck and use a torch to shine at the bottom, if you can see light through the other side of the straight edge then get the block skimmed. Check at various different points and angles across the deck face. Quote
