removing 98 steering wheel

Which screws are best first already disconnected the battery couldn't of picked a better time to do it haha

I can see torque screws 2 of them, I guess it's just taking them off..

2 torque screws, then take the airbag unit out.

Then 19mm iirc for the steering wheel nut,

undo it slightly before giving the wheel a good pull towards you.

2 torques screws 1 on either side, they don't cone all the way out just come loose.

Once loose the airbag can be removed. Then its just the 17/19mm nut in the middle.

Loosened those airbag torx but airbag won't come off does it push up or slot off av been doing other things hasn't taken me this long lol

Them screws still hold it in you kinda need to pop them out a bit further then it should come out

Don't Take the main nut off untill the steering wheel is loose to prevent a steering wheel to the face! Is a worth while tip ha

It's almost like the torx screws are loose but tighten up there is no give in the airbag at all when both screws are loose am baffled

How many bolts does it have, all 4 different Toyota wheels I've removed have only had 1 torques screw on each side :s

Yes it will, you can buy or make a resistor pack to fool the system into thinking its still there as for mot the light must come on then go off as normal.

Think its www.dashlightremoveal.com. or something similar supply them

Am gunna double check tomorrow I didn't see a plastic bit under the wheel.. can the airbag warning light be removed like the seatbelt one? Just am changing the bulbs once the wheel is off

Got it off we hey after a good wrestle now I need to know which bulbs in the back are for the airbag warning light and am pretty sure the seatbelt is the bottom right...

Also this connector does not fit onto here for the horn am sick as fook

Ok so I removed the circular thing with yellow writing on that made the boss fit easy enough

Over all there was only two torx screws after unscrewing them the airbag lifted up from the bottom, disconnected the yellow clip but there is also a blue wire, is that for the horn? Would that wire into the red wire on my boss to make the earth?
