Zeldoz
I've text my friend. He's been debating going turbo on his B18 for months.. this might make him do it!
Lewis.
You know yourself man this is dirt cheap for a racetech mani!
TrisK
True. Although is it not fairly uselss without a decat?
Lewis.
i have no idea to be honest man, i bought it then decided im going H2B instead
Zeldoz
I think TrisK might be right. If this is a one off. You couldn't buy an off the shelf decat.. Race-Tech would need to fabricate the downpipe Unless it utilizes the same position as any other turbo manifolds.. then you might be able too? Lewis.
excuse my noobness but where does the decat go on too? If this is the case Zeldoz and your mate is interested il knock a couple quid off or either through in some race tech intercooler piping and samco hoses his way for free
TrisK
The decat would go between the turbo and the rest of the exhaust
Azz
You would need a custom exhaust anyway so a decat wouldn't be a problem
Lewis.
Thats what i thought, thats why i got confused when someone mentioned it would be useless with out it Edited December 10, 2013 by Lewis.
TrisK
You would need a custom exhaust anyway so a decat wouldn't be a problem why would you need a custom exhaust? a decat would/coukd/should mate it up with the standard exhaust
AdamB
Getting a decat made isn't the end of the world. Any exhaust shop should be able to fabricate one no bother.
Azz
why would you need a custom exhaust? a decat would/coukd/should mate it up with the standard exhaustWas thinking because a T3 flange and 44mm wastegate is going to be some serious turbo
TurboTobz
Cnc a flange or buy one and some piping and bends or mandrel just like any other decat
Lewis.
Loads of replies on here lol Zeldoz let me know what your mate thinks
ryan lang
why would you need a custom exhaust? a decat would/coukd/should mate it up with the standard exhaust on a factory turbo'd car that would be the case
