Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could help me?

My back box/pipe work is banging on the chassis when driving, it's getting really annoying, it does it more with people in the back too?

I've got under the car to have a look and the only thing what could possibly be banging is the bracket for the backbox..

I thought a new rubber would stop it banging but surly I would only need a new rubber if the exhaust was sagging not sitting to close chassis?

For the mean time I cut up some silicone pipe I had I tie wrapped it to the bracket to stop metal and metal contact, however it's not really working I can still hear it banging?

Any advice would be a massive help!

Thank you, Aaron.

I have the same issue, pretty sure it's the pipe knocking on the back axel, it Only happens with people in the back and if I hit a big bump. Are you running the standard exhaust?

Yeah I saw it's very close to the axel too! Is there anything you could put between them that isn't going to burn

I think the silicone hose should be ok, maybe some metal cable ties would be good too.

Il give that a go tomorrow mate :) thanks a lot :) and it's aftermarket I'm not sure what brand it was on when I brought the car a few weeks ago :)

Go see dean at RW Developments he'll weld you a custom hanger on the rear axle that'll stop the banging.

Mine used to knock all the time now it's perfect.

Heat wrap... I had a japspeed on my second V and down a bumpy road it was like I had a fucking drummer in the back. 4 layers of heat wrap later and it was only a gentle thud :p

what I find strange with my one is that it only rattles about after Ive driven the car hard for 15 minutes or so? Im pretty sure its knocking on the axle where the pipe goes over.
