-ve or +ve switched lights?

For the front lights (dipped and full/main beam);

What is the switch wire in a 1998 starlet 1.3 na?

-vely switched or +vely switched?

Possibly negatively switched but im not entirely sure

My brother managed to find a ep82 stalk wiring diagram. I presume they will be similar setup.

This shows -ve switched as you suggested, Thanks for your reply Tobz

On the n/a they are positive switched.

Ah ok cheers Rob, have you worked with them before or was that from a wiring diagram?

I have a 1999 sr and there pos switched on that I know from trying to fit HIDs lol

Ah perfect, I'm trying to do the same thing and when i put my dipped beam on the main beam is on, and when the main beam is on the HID's go off altogether.

There where a few Troubleshooting tips in the manual, it could have been one of two things, so i'm glad I can rule this one out and get them to send out the additional relay/harness for the other problem.

Yep thats exactly what mine was doing!! I bind em and went for better bulbs in the end and I dint need the ballast units that take up needed space!
