M.B-glanza
Got this rediculouse squeaking noise when i put the heaters on and apply the acceleration usually happens when pulling away at junctions etc.. This is my second glanza and the last one had the same issue so i changed the belt which cured the problem for no less then 2-3 weeks then it recurred.. Anyone have any seggestions other than change the belt? There only a few quid either way but it could be something im missing etc Cheers mark Edited February 13, 2014 by M.B-glanza
akyakapotter
Ajust the alternator belt make it a bit tighter or the power steering belt id start with the alt belt though
Tepson
Had this on my last starlet. Was the water pump failing and pissing water on to the belts
daniel_g
If its under load, lights on etc, it may be the alternator bearing thats noisey, i had this on my GT, swapped over an alternator and it was sound afterwards.Had a brand new belt on perfectly tensioned so it wasnt that
M.B-glanza
Cheers lads, going to do all the usual checks etc make sure its tensioned correctly check for any leaks close to the belt (as mentioned) and also the belt condition.. A mean there only 7 quid so i might just change it anyway.. I know its nothing major but its better to have a few more opinions before hand Appracited Mark,
