Dean_mc88
As the above the car had a boost leak and I managed to fix it as when you put your hand over the turbo intake the car goes to cut out. I took it down the road and it started fine boosted fine the this high pitch wastegate noise started and the chatter is the same. Now when you put your hand on the intake the car keeps running as normal Can anyone tell me what they think it might be I already have a turbo on the way would be nice to fix this now though
Sefton-EP91
Sounds like you have a leak after the entrance to the intake. It should bog down and cut out when intake is covered. Hope this helps mate.

Dean_mc88
don't know but its only on boost, I do have a sound recording but don't know how to put it on here
Sefton-EP91
Check the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold. These have a tendency to come loose. I had three that came loose and I just tighten them up and the noise went.
