LSD Identification help!

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine bought an LSD box quite a while ago and with regards to all clutch type LSD" the plates have worn down quite significantly resulting in quite frankly a slightly/non-working LSD.

We both have spent hours trying to find out what LSD it is but have come to no avail.

The main housing has only 3 holes and it is only a 1 way diff with no adjustability otherwise.

I can get a lot more pictures, but these where just a quick snap just after stripping the diff.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

regards

Mike

I have a Cusco 1 way MZ and i can only change how aggressive the LSD is by the degrees on cam in-relation to the inner housing.

All the cusco 1 ways are the same so it isn't a cusco.

Thanks for your input tho!

This is driving us up the wall!

I honestly never thought it would be this hard to find out what it is never mind sourcing a rebuild kit for it, went to a gearbox specialist as well and he even said he has never seen one like this.

stumped!!

who makes lsd's?

oem (off the side of the box) no

other oem toyota (ae111 levin) no

MRS oem toyota no?

trd - No -center piece is different.

cusco no

kazz - as far as I'm aware they only do 1.5-2way not 1 way.

tomei

quaife - not quaife-looks completely different and I'm 99% confidant it would have been laser inscribed.

Not sure.. but they fit starlet boxes and come as standard in all uk mr2/Mrs roadsters

going to check this out now fella.

closest I've seen is Kaaz but they have a shiney machined outer surface. yours looks like a rough cast matt finish

Yea they do look very similar, the thing that is annoying me is somebody somewhere knows what the flippin thing is.
