Engine is ready to drop straight into any starlet. I am going to be breaking the whole car now, a shame but needs must and cars can always be rebuilt As soon as i have a buyer for the engine, the rest of the car will go for sale. PM me if your interested in any of my parts to put dibs on.In case you are unfamiliar with the 5e engine, its a hybrid of the standard engine which makes it into a 1.5 litre rather than the standard 1.3 litre, this allows you to have a TD04 which spools like a CT9, or you can run bigger blowers for more power. There is also a significant torque difference off boost too, so the car drives much better off boost.Engine spec: (Everything brand new with receipts)PEC forged 5e connecting rods74.5mm Wossner forged pistons (dished)ARP HeadboltsToyota full engine gasket setToyota oil pump5E conversion flywheel (so you can use the larger 4e clutch)Water pumpTiming beltACL main bearingsACL big endsACL thrustwashersToyota Paseo Doner engine for blockMachine shop work:Chemically cleaned whole engineSkimmed headDecked blockPolished Crankbore cross hatch and hone blockCrank has never been groundNew valve stem sealsNotched block to accept 5e rodsEngine was assembled in the guide i made here, so you can see how i did it step by step.http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/58187-how-to-build-a-forged-5efte-engine-step-by-step-guide/She has done about 5000 miles approx since i have built it over the last 2 years. _shaun_
NO DONT DO IT! Nah best reason for selling up but think you should stick a forsales thread up for the whole car aswell to give it a chance of staying in on peace and just wait to see what sells first.

hookie663
What head gasket is on this
Taggy
I originally used an Athena 1.4mm gasket but I found that it wasnt sealing properly, I had a very light film of oil on the corner of the block where the tab is. Apparently a common problem with them, so i decided to bin it when i had the head off next and swapped it for a Toyota OEM. Edited March 17, 2014 by Taggy

Taggy
It would be hell of a lot easier, but i stand to lose too much on it so its gonna be stripped.

Pikey009
Yeh it is tempting! But There are loads of things I want to do before going for the engine swap
Aamir
Ah right, these very rarely come up for sale though
Pikey009
I know mate and it's a decent price but it'd just sit in storage for a while until I was ready to use it. Want to set the 4paw up properly before running an epic spec like this through it. Sorry for clogging up your sale!
