Vturbo Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Had some issues with the car last night, it was getting very hard to engage and disengage gears, to the point it was undriveable. I was limping it home in second gear. Then all of a sudden something went. No drive to the wheels just a grinding noise. in the process of dropping the box. Quote
jimmymac101 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Ahhh man hope its nothing serious james Quote
Vturbo Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 I think it's stripped the teeth off the shaft if I'm honest Quote
Vturbo Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 So I dropped the gearbox today. And found this. The teeth inside the friction plated had shat itself. Spline shaft looks okay. Need to try and find the cause as this shouldn't happen after 900 miles of easy driving Quote
Vturbo Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 So the plan is, put my old exedy clutch back in with a new release bearing. And see how it goes. If it's all good il know it's the clutch at fault.. Quote
jayc-glanza17 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Glad could help you over the phone fella.Cant believe the friction plate. Quote
