mikey4410 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 what gap does the spark plug need also ? Quote
mikey4410 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 just found this bit of info,it seems i have the wrong plugs then ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NGK BKR6EP-11 was the plug they came with from the factory. When Toyota crossed over to Denso it became PK20R11Both brands are platinum type.Toyota now use Denso plugs.-------------------------------------------------------------------------- my current plugs are tan and look bang on,because of this should i just stick with what i have but renew to the same identical ones ? turbo Grant Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Your only on n/a plugs by the sounds of the heat range! If you up the boost in the future go up to a 7 But bkr6e are the cheaper copper core plugs you can run Or you could you iridium ones bkr7eixPlug gap wants to be the largest without it blowing out the spark. But to be safe people like .8mm Quote
mikey4410 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 thanks for replys so far. anybody else care to comment please ? Quote
JLF88 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ngk iridiums, I'm an na so use 6, if your running boost I'd say 7. Great plugs Quote
Idrees Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 NGK Iridium heat range 7 are the most common choice by far. We have them on the shelf if you need them. Quote
mikey4410 Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 in the end i ordered a set of NGK BKR6EP-11 they were £49. chose these as there the original part Quote
Chief Quimby Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I use the standard ones from 1986 4age, they are very cheap. Running o,6 gap, and no problems, even at 2,3 bar Quote
