Hi all, so basically my friend has a Glanza V for sale and it has an OEM LSD gearbox in the car as well. He said the car is stuck in third gear and it will not come out. So I've just been and checked it out and he said it was working perfectly fine and it just got stuck in 3rd gear and it won't come out. I've turned the engine on and tried taking it out of gear but its stuck solid. Ive also turned the engine of and tried taking it out of gear but didn't have any luck either. The gearbox worked perfectly fine and this has just occurred out the blue and the clutch was working perfectly fine as well. Does anyone have any idea of what's wrong with it?

Thanks, Aamir

Can't you drive it? It's only 3rd gear just replace the clutch when you're done.

Yeah the car still drives, just don't want to cause any more damage to be honest. The clutch is working fine mate, the fork hasn't snapped as you can still use the clutch. Going to remove the gear linkages tomorrow and see if I can manually put it in gear or not as this will tell me if I have a gearbox problem or gear linkage problem.

Yeah im just thinking rather than have it stuck you could drive it somewhere more suited. After a bit of driving you might have killed the clutch lol

Yeah linkages is a good place to start.

Can't see how you could get it stuck in 3rd, not unless a selector arm has bent badly?

Something that may be worth a go is on top of the box on the coke can shaped dome bit there's a bolt that goes in. This works as a guide for the selector arm I believe. Try removing and see if that frees anything up.
