help fuel light on ??

hi there has anyone every had the fuel light come on and stay on even though I have half a tank of fuel ??

check the connections to the fuel "level" mechanism/float/pump 1st

if not, then check to see if its stuck/broken, but you would need to remove it from the tank

riteo thanks mate i have a pop this weekend.

i have noticed that some times the fuel light stays on even if i have a full tank but the i coud turn it off and on and the light doesnt turn on at all even if i ran out of fuel hopefully its just that simple.

Is the gauge measuring correctly and the light on, or does the gauge display an empty tank?

The gauge works fine mate just the light. I could have a full tank and the light come on on startup then a few starts later it won't but it's also the same if it's nearly empty :s

Common starlet fault... remove the bulb is the best option. Probably the sender has failed.

Wow u have seen what a fuel light looks like ?? I have never seen one work on any of my four. Lucky you.
