PWG123
Hello thought I'd post a progression of my Glanza, nothing special at the minute. My intention is to 5E it and aim for 300BHP. it'll be a slow process as im on a apprentice wage. but hopefully the more i get paid in time the more I'll put into the car. so here's the car . Day 1 when i picked her up. wasn't a fan of the sparco ns2's. Spec when picked up: CT12 turbo, XS Power frount mount, Baileys dump valve, Manifold, 3" exhaust turbo back, Cusco coilovers, optional extra front strut, Apexi Avc-r, Boost Gauge, Magneore 8mm HT leads, Sard FPR, uprated fuel pump, Sparco ns2's. Then some problems arised with the cheap nasty manifold that was on her So i got myself a Zisco manifold as a replacement not the prettiest being second hand but it doesn't leak and makes the turbo spool faster The new manifold and new genuine gaskets (highly recommend genuine gaskets, others will leak i had two sets of non genuine blow) sorted the issue and i drove it around for a short while, until the weather starting turning. Then she got tucked up in the garage for winter for some more goodies and to keep the salt and winter weather off the shell. Night night lol. then i starting ordering the new parts for the old girl. Second hand toyo sports dual core in reasonable condition New Sard FPR (picture is the old one, don't have a pic of new one) New EBC Dimpled and grooved brakes with OE Spec rear pads New Rad hoses, Fan and EBC yellow stuff front pads AP Racing 6 PUK Clutch kit Managed to get a swap on the Sparco ns2's, so i put the car on a spare set of wheels i had laying about. So i swapped for a set of xxr 527's, 8.25J and ET0.......they poked like hell. but i was determined to get them to fit as I've always been a fan of these wheels. Then it started....ripping the poor girl to bits :/ With the help of my buddy's Benham and Fin. none of us are mechanics we're all self taught tinkerers that luckily always mange to get our cars working again. The bay was filthy and scummy so i bought a steam cleaner, De-greaser, and spent a weekend scrubbing the bay clean. Trust me it's worth the work.. Was hard work getting the scum and grime off, but my mates gave a hand. Gearbox off and exposing the old clutch, working on her on a Saturday night at about 10.30. even the box got a good scrubbing. Fin and my old clutch plate, it was a little buggered..... Starting cleaning up the rocker cover ready for polishing Polished up and all done by hand, using auto sol metal polish. Couldn't leave the inter-cooler out I didn't really get any pictures of the refit :/. i think my mates might have some I'll have to see if i can get them of them. and I'll load the pictures of the clutch being reinstalled etc hopefully. So here's the picture of her all back together and cleaned the difference is phenomenal (I'll post dirty and clean) And the first start after winter, hadn't been started in about 5 months and she started first time on the key on the first turn. the fuel was a bit stale but apart from that she's was running like a dream. (Was recirculating through turbo as dump hadn't been fitted yet) http://youtu.be/apmd1LPQegE?list=UUaDDVPF5p8V_vBURpWqzMkw So after this is was just M.O.T, Tax and Insurance......so the M.O.T was booked for the Monday and and on Thursday while checking everything over the N/S handbrake cable seized and frayed.....luckily IDworkz sorted me one out next day delivery Legends!! So the xxr's got sand blasted, welded and repaired and i was just about to get them Powder coated and got offered a swap on these AXE EX8's The car all legal, M.o.t'd, Taxed, and insured felt good to have her back on the road after 6 months in the garage. So about a month of driving and my CT9/CT12 decided to blow its seals at one of the first local meets around my area, still showed a DC2 integra my starlet was no slouch . A massive thanks to @Liam_D for helping me out with trying to get mine rebuilt asap unfortunately the couriers didn't allow it :/. Managed to get hold of a Speed Vision Spec 2 Hybrid CT9 and luckily my brother was heading to kent to pick up a S14 and that was here the turbo was located. performs pretty similar to the CT9/CT12 in my opinion. maybe spools a little faster. Although it wasn't that easy the courier turned up the day i was collecting the hybrid although they had been canceled my brothers GF gave the CT12 to the couriers which the oil feed was connected too, the hybrid didn't have the part. I'd taken most of the week of work to get it sorted as it was my daily, so the hunt was then on for the oil feeds. luckily i got a email from @GP82 he had one. got one of my mates to take me to Leicester and got the part after about 3-4 days of searching. WHOOOPP lol. Then it was JAPFEST time Getting ready for the show. Unfortunately all that hard work was for nothing as it pissed it down all the way there :/. At the show Coming home Was awesome except for the wind and the weather was nice to see lots of starlets in one place and the variety of different models . that's it for now just been enjoying driving her through the summer and surprising bigger cars ;). but i have some big plans she'll be off the road for a little while after she goes away this winter, got a 5E-FHE the other day. so i think a 5E-FTE is in order . Not bad for £150 . I'll keep this updated as i go. Thanks Edited July 28, 2014 by PWG123

H_D
The reverse lights look good blacked out.I think the clear lenses ruins the look of the rear,
PWG123
The reverse lights look good blacked out.I think the clear lenses ruins the look of the rear,They were smoked when I bought it. I wasn't a fan to start of with and was going to replace them with standard one's. But after seeing a few with clear lights. I prefer them smoked. They look darker in the pictures then they actually are.
