Chris Green
I need choose which colour scheme I'm going with for my engine bay. Really not sure what to be doing. Plan is to polish as much as possible, rocker cover, throttle bodies, radiator, PAS & expansion tank. I need to pick a scheme to go with. Thinking white bay with red hoses, bolts etc. Pearl orange bay, blue hoses etc. Midnight purple bay, blue hoses etc. Standard colour, blue hoses etc. Open to different ideas too. Whitenoize
Standard colour bay as much polished as possible and just black silicone hoses will make all the shiny stuff stand out

vizzioarts
Midnight purple bay/standard colour with white hoses etc? Just a thought. Are you going for a big wire tuck? If so, as said above make the polished stuff stand out with black Up to you at the end of the day.
Chris Green
Not going crazy with the wire tuck, will be done to an extent. Keeping the fuse box in the bay. Will be replacing all of the wire tidy with braided stuff. Not so keen on the black. I've got a trick up my sleave with the hoses (N.I. Guys hush hush lol). Going to have a good think about it. Bristol glanza
for me i like bright colours. beause i have a white car i have yellow and reds little bit of blue in my bay. i think because your car a darker, pehaps make the rocker cover a feature colour white maybe.black hoses and HT leads. have a look at different colour schemes from the "show us your engine bay" in the Photo forum, there is some nice idea on there, my bay is also features in there, hope it helps, kind regards,Luke
Chris Green
I think I'm fairly certain, I'm going with Honda Pirates Black. Everything polished, titanium trumpets, alloy tanks etc. Haven't decided on colour of the hoses yet. Dark purple block. HT leads are going to be blue, so I may just have to roll with that. Chris Green
Resurrecting an old thread. Colour scheme has mostly been confirmed. 1) Standard 8K9 for the bay. 2) Black hoses (ultra blue leads, can't do anything about that) 3) Polish what I can. Only thing I'm left with is the block & sump, so this is where I need some input for you guys. I've been down to the powder coaters today and picked out a few colours. What I'm thinking... Block, Sump & Gear Bag This black sparkle malarkey for brackets, water pump piping, PAS pump, Starter, ITB'S (minus the trumpets), Servo, Clutch cylinder and so on. I also grabbed photos of these two as a back up. A Purpley sparkle job And a bluey purple sparkle job I'm also thinking of doing the wishbones, mounts, ARB's, the first purple colour too.
