Idrees
Hi guys A friend is having difficulties getting to the bottom of this idle hunt, so I thought I would post it here. The ECU stores no fault codes so I have advised the following, and that's all been checked. - Replace coolant temperature sensor- Check for vacuum leaks around inlet manifold- Replace MAP sensor- Replace Idle control valve- Check/replace spark plugs- Check/clean distributor cap- Check/replace thermostat Next on his list is a new throttle body with TPS, and to try another set of HT leads and distributor. loz180691
Did you find the problem I'm having the exact same and need help
Duduglanza
Check the map sensor, try replacing.. then check if the wiring to the sensor is ok. If you have an fcd connected might be a loose contact in its green wire. Check the earths beside the icv aswell.. Edited September 26, 2014 by Duduglanza
Stu
Quite often its the idle control assembly under the throttle body - give it a good clean out or even bypass it to see if there is any change
Chris Green
I had this issue, I used an ultrasonic tank to clean the ICV and that cured the issue.
