Hey guys

Need to know why my roof light on my ep82 doesnt work when opening the door

If i turn the switch to on it will but not when doors open on the door setting.

Also if i was to wire a boot light in where would be best?

DOors is probably a faulty door switch. DO you get the door light on the dash?

Also the best place for a boot light is probably in the boot ;)

I found on some it was the actual rivets that holds the contacts inside the light. I scraped round them with a screw driver and every thing was back working again

If you pop the plastic cover off you will see the rivets. Both the wires connected to the light live 1 permant and 1 connected to the door switch. Take the wire off the door live. Or add a boot switch

Well theres a small update on this.

The door light on still doesnt work the light pops up on the dash to say the doors are open.

Also the illiumated key barrel lights up apon door opening ect.

roof light works in the on postion yet just not when the doors open.

Once I figure this out I will tackle footwells and boot light

If you have power up to the socket then it's the rivets I found to be the problem. Get a flat head screw driver and scrape around them to get a good contact again.

You will need to do both sides of the rivets
