Best LSDs are the plate types, the likes of Cusco and Kaaz, but these ten to be noisy at low speeds. If you can't deal with the noise, then Quaife ATB is indeed your best bet.



Caveat emptor: Quaife ATBs work well as long as the low torque wheel still has some grip and some available torque, but if you lift a wheel in a fast turn it will immediately revert to zero torque all around like an open diff.....

Helical lsd's are quiet, like the oem external one, or an Oem ae111 levin lsd these are the same as MR-S lsd's and will bolt into a glanza or gt turbo box no problem. (Not very early gt's or n/a's with 6 bolt diffs though)

Plate type all the way, it has direct engagement when power is applied. The Torsen type must have slippage in order for it to engage both wheels

Definitely clutch type - you can shim them so they drive/lockup as you want them to suit your intended use ie street/track/strip
