Would make more of a difference on an n/a they make them for the 4age 20v and make a fair improvement on midrange torque.

The idea is you have more filtered air to use without drawing it through the filter.

Whereas on a turbo its more volume to be filled with compressed air therefore making you have more lag.

I used to have a k11 micra that i fitted a big primera airbox to. The airbox sat right on top of the throttle body, and had a large snorkely tube coming off it going right round the bay to behind one of the headlights. Everyone on the old msc forums used to go on about ti being a cold air feed but actually it was more to do with resonance and intake velocity.

With the snorkel on it had noticably more torque lower down in the rev range, whereas without it felt better at the top end, flying off the end of the tacho at 9k lol. (It also sounded like it had itbs when the snorkel was missing lol, great fun in your first car :L). The same is probably true of your arc airbox, n/as are very sensitive to such things. The same is probably true of turbo enginess, but to a less noticable extent.
