BillyLindsayEp82 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Just bought my first ep82For some reason the fan is always on, making the car run cool, a lot less than half way on the temp gauge, is this going to cause problems, is there any advantages/disadvantages? Thanks Quote
morgey Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Theres a single wire plug under the dizzy that controls the fan. Either the sensors knackered or the wire is split. (Or not connected) If its running thay cold it might still be on cold idle so will be over fueling. Quote
mikey4410 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Or somebody hasnt bridged the aircon sensor unit.that also makes fan come on permanent Quote

And gets between the cold line and half way Quote
BillyLindsayEp82 Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Or somebody hasnt bridged the aircon sensor unit.that also makes fan come on permanentThis could be the reason as air con has been removed, how would I check for this? Sorry I'm new to these cars Quote
Stu Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Just behind the passenger side headlight, should be a grey plug with two wires - wires need bridging/joining Quote
BillyLindsayEp82 Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 got it! will it cause any problems if i keep the fan running? car doesnt reach half way on gauge. thanks Quote
Socks Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Its best to keep the fan off unless its needed. Quote
